How Can You Help?Mid-Cities Destination Imagination depends 100% on volunteers to conduct our tournaments. Without appraisers to score teams and helpers to handle tasks our tournaments could not take place. Please consider helping in one of the following capacities. AppraisersAppraisers experience the excitement and creativity of DI up close and personal. Their job is to award teams every point they are entitled to by their solution presentation. Appraisers must attend approximately 5 hours of training on Saturday - January 24, 2009 in Grand Prairie and must work at the Regional Tournament on February 28, 2009 at Heritage Middle or Heritage Elementary in Colleyville. Parents of
team members should not be appraisers because Every team is required to provide one person to work as an appraiser. Appraiser Registration forms are due by December 1, 2008. Appraiser registration is now on-line. Click the button below to complete the registration form. If you are serving as the representative Appraiser for a team please include the contact information for the Team Manager when you register. Unfortunately, this form does not work with AOL. Tournament HelpersTournament Helpers take care of a multitude of tasks at the tournament. We need volunteers to monitor doors, run scores, deliver food and snacks to appraisers, sell concessions, work a photo booth, etc. Parents of team members can volunteer to help and will work a 2 hour shift. Parents of participants should support the program by working a shift. The shift will be scheduled around your child's challenge solution presentation. Every team is required to provide one person to work as a tournament helper. Click button below for on-line tournament helper registration. Questions?
